Like any other high end stainless steel tool, some rust may form if not properly maintained. Your X14 should be periodically cleaned, dried and lubricated, especially if your tool has been exposed to saltwater or used in marine environments. Simply rinse off with fresh water, dry and apply a light coat of oil. Sharpening Any knife edge can become blunt over time and with use. We recommend sharpening as required. The blade on your X14 can be sharpened using any standard equipment including whetstones, rods etc. Sharpening angle should be 16 degrees each side.
